A friend and former employee lately Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, have decided to go on a fast from October 2, Gandhi Jayanti, over the “delays” within the probe carried out by the Central Bureau of Investigation. According to a report on Republic TV, the late actor’s friend Ganesh Hiwarkar and former staff Ankit Acharya, have decided to require a stand and continue a symbolic fast to demand speedy justice. “We want an update from CBI and don’t want the case to be diverted in the other direction,” the 2 men said during a video.
While stating that they’re glad that the Narcotics Control Bureau and Enforcement Directorate do their job, the 2 men cited that there haven’t been any updates from the CBI for the past weeks. This comes shortly after Vikas Singh, the lawyer representing the family, expressed his displeasure over the ‘speed’ at which the CBI was completing its investigation.
Singh claimed that the family was distressed over the new course the investigation has taken and alleged that the NCB was “diverting attention” from the important case. In a news conference on Friday, Singh said, “The family feels that the probe is being taken during a different direction. All attention is being diverted towards the drugs case.”
