The suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput has created a stir in B Town. Several artists have come forward to confess and share the truth of ‘Nepotism’ along with their side of the story on social media. The promising actor found to hang on June 14, 2020, at his Bandra home, and ever since, people can’t stop speaking into the actor’s support.
A few days back, Ranvir Shorey shared an incident about ‘favoritism’. Joining the wagon now is actor Abhay Deol who came forward to speak about the “shameless” working of award shows in Bollywood. He told that he along with his co-actor Farhan Akhtar got voted out at numerous award functions for their work in the blockbuster flick ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’.
The Zoya Akhtar directorial is a story of three friends, Arjun (Hrithik), Kabir (Abhay), and Imraan (Farhan), who went to a road trip to Spain and discovered themselves with aspects of their relationship there. Abhay also lashed out fellow Bollywood celebrities for not raising their voice against problems in India, rather started to support the enraged Black Lives Matter movement in the US.
Sushant Singh Rajput was battling depression from the past 1 year and undergoing treatment for the same. The actors’ medical condition got so verse that he even stopped taking his medications a few months ago. The sudden death of the actor was a big shock to Bollywood celebrities and his fans alike.
Sushant begins his career in 2008 as a theatre artist with the Ekjute group run by Nadira Babbar. He got his first acting assignment in Ekta Kapoor’s television show Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, but he rose to popularity with another show named Pavitra Rishta where he played the role of Manav Deshmukh. The show was also produced by Balaji Telefilms and proved to be a breakthrough and Sushant received several awards as the Best TV actor.
Sushant’s big Bollywood break came with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kai Po Che! where he portrayed the role of Ishan Bhatt. His other noted works include Shuddh Desi Romance, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! and M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story especially the biopic of ace cricketer helped him to stand along with front-liners in Bollywood. Sushant worked with Abhishek Kapoor once again in ‘Kedarnath’ which marked the debut of Sara Ali Khan. He also played lead roles in Nitesh Tiwari’s blockbuster Chhichhore and high-rated Abhishek Chaubey’s Sonchiriya. His last major outing was Netflix’s Drive.
