Bollywood’s popular actor Anupam Kher has recently earned a British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) nomination for his outstanding work in the BBC TV movie The Boy with the Topknot. He got this nomination for his performance in the adaptation of Satnam Sanghera’s memoir. He has worked in about 500 films & is competing against Adrian Dunbar (Line of Duty), Brian F. O’Byrne (Little Boy Blue) and Jimmi Simpson – USS Callister (Black Mirror) for the “Best Supporting Actor” trophy.


Soon after BAFTA’s announcement, Anupam tweeted, “Thank you Bafta for the nomination. I feel honoured and humbled.” A lot many wishes poured in for him on Twitter. Anil Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Vir Das, Sidharth Malhotra and many others congratulated him on his success.
