Veteran Bollywood actress and MP Jaya Bachchan have come down heavily against those trying to ‘tarnish the image of the entire industry’. Without naming anyone, Jaya Bachchan spoke on the second day of the Monsoon Session in Parliament. “Just because there are some people, you can’t tarnish the image of the entire industry. I am ashamed that yesterday one of our members in Lok Sabha, who is from the film industry, spoke against it. It is a shame. People in the entertainment industry are being flogged by social media. People who made their names in the industry have called it a gutter. I completely disagree. I hope that govt tells such people not to use this kind of language,” ANI quoted Jaya Bachchan.

The veteran actress seemed to be taking a dig at actor cum MP Ravi Kishan, who had openly spoken about drug addiction in Bollywood. “Drug addiction is in the film industry too. The number of addicted people is getting increased every day, Narcotics control department of Mumbai Police is working excellently. Strict action must be taken against culprits by giving them suitable punishment for their actions & finish the entire conspiracy rooted from neighboring countries said Ravi Kishan.

Previously Kangana Ranaut had also openly spoken about drug abuse in Bollywood and had claimed that 99 percent of Bollywood consumes the drug.
