The probe for actor Kangana Ranaut’s involvement with drug links started on Friday by the Anti-Narcotics Cell of Mumbai Police.
Recently, Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh stated that Mumbai police officials will investigate the allegations of Ranaut consuming illegal drugs. Responding to this Kangana tweeted on Friday: “Ready for any kind of drug tests, also request the officials to dig my phone records and if any links with drug peddlers come out then I will happily accept the deeds and leave Bollywood industry forever. Awaiting for your reply.”
Anil Deshmukh quoted that actor Shekhar Suman’s son Adhyayan Suman’s statement about his relationship with Ranaut her consuming the drugs and even forced him to take it was primarily taken into consideration for this probe.
The joint police chief (crime) Milind Bharambe, who held a meeting with ANC officers, said on Friday: “Today, we have received the order from the home minister for the probe. We are looking into it.” Sources said the ANC will analyze the video interview and then record Adhyayan’s statement. “We will analyze it and then summon Kangana for questioning,” said an officer, adding as the interview is four years old, it could be difficult to establish it.
