After the massive ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’, at the box office, Kartik Aaryan was approached for the lead role in the untitled project of ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ fame director Om Raut. However, latest reports from Bollywood insiders, Raut’s action dram starring Kartik has been put on hold for now.
The reason behind this decision is the non-availability of abroad locations to shoot amid the coronavirus pandemic. The movie was to be shot partially in India and mostly in various locations abroad. A leading entertainment news website reported that the story plot demands a lot of foreign shoots as the makers can’t shoot abroad. The shooting schedule for Hong Kong can’t take place now due to Covid-19. However team is still working to find some alternative locations to resume shoots.
Talking about the Workfront, Kartik’s last silver screen project was ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ co-starring Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday. Before lockdown got imposed, he was shooting for the sequel to 2008 hit film ‘Dostana’ also featuring Janhvi Kapoor and debutant Lakshya. Directed by Collin D’Cunha and produced by Karan Johar. He also had ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ with Kiara Advani in the pipeline.
