After Kabir Singh’s success, producer Murad Khetani has been on the prospect to shop for some surpassing original scripts. After Namak Halal, Khetani has now officially bagged the remake rights of the recent blockbuster Master. The Vijay and Vijay Setupathi starrer gatecrashed box office records and, despite a 50% occupancy restriction, managed to shovel in a huge moolah at the box office.
Meanwhile, we catch that many producers had tried up to get the remake rights to the first. “Karan Johar was also seeking to get the rights of Master in Hindi, but Murad simply raised his pay and caught the deal.”
“Murad is intent on making some remakes within the next some years, report says. There’s Namak Halal, Thadam, and now, Master. And he spent over Rs. 6 crore only for the rights. He had earlier paid around Rs. 4-5 crore for Arjun Reddy’s official rights, but the instant he heard KJo is additionally at the opposite end, he raised his amount and got it. The team is now putting it all at once and remodeling the script for the Hindi audience. Casting will happen on just one occasion the scripting is completed.
