Sidharth had to shed his cute boy-next-door image for his turn because the brooding lead man of this film and pulled it off effortlessly. The Mohit Suri directorial, which also featured Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh, clad to be a money-spinner, raking during a total of Rs 97.51 crore.
With the success of ‘Ek Villain’, Sid make unity with Jacqueline Fernandez and Akshay Kumar to deliver another hit. It couldn’t are easy getting his moves right for the boxing film but Sid made it appear as if he did it for a living. Meanwhile, the film registered a business of Rs 70.65 crore within the domestic circuit.
After winning over the audience with their chemistry in ‘Student Of The Year’, Sid and Alia came together for Shakun Batra’s ‘Kapoor & Sons’, which saw Sid tackle family dynamics. The film collcted Rs 69.37 crore at the ticket windows.
Sidharth made his Bollywood debut with ‘Student Of The Year’ which was also the launch vehicle for Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt. The coming-of-age-drama was a moment hit and clocked in Rs 62.94 crore.
In ‘Marjaavaan’ directed by Milap Zaveri’s that also starred Rakul Preet Singh and Tara Sutaria, Sidharth showed off his action chops. And while the action-drama opened to mixed reviews, it managed to post an honest total of Rs 45.57 crore.
