Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh, in a recent interview with Hindi news channel spoke about his relationship with Sushant, and how they were extremely close to each other. The tragic news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide was an absolute shocker to Bollywood and his fans alike. The actor hung himself at his Bandra apartment on June 15, 2020. His co-stars and colleagues never got his mental state having suicidal thoughts.
Now, as per the reports, SSR’s father told how Sushant suddenly stopped sharing his final thoughts with him “Pehle toh sab batata tha par aakhir me kya hua, woh bola hi nahi (He used to tell everything before, but he didn’t speak much about what he was going through in the end).”
Sharing how the actor planned to marry in February-March 2021, SSR’s father spoke his heart out. “Iss bare main woh bola tha ki corona me toh nahi, fir uske baad ek film aa rahi hai, wo karunga, uske baad February-March mein dekhte hai. Yehi aakhri baat hui thi uske sath meri (When we talked about it earlier. He told me that he was not planning to get married in Covid-19 times but after his upcoming film releases, he will think about getting married in February or March. This was the last conversation we had about his marriage).”
“We agreed on the point that he should get married to a girl of his choice as he has to spend his life with her.”
KK Singh also added that he wasn’t aware of Rhea and Sushant’s relationship status. SSR was in a relationship with Ankita Lokhande for 6 years. Sushant’s father mentioned that Pavitra Rishta actress’ visited both in Mumbai and Patna. Ankita was the only woman he knew of in the late actor’s life.
After Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic demise on June 15, 2020, several social media users not only supported the actor and his family but also slammed celebrities like Salman Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Karan Johar & Alia Bhatt for Bollywood’s nepotism and power play. Sushant Singh Rajput was battling depression from the past 1 year and undergoing treatment for the same. His last film Dil Bechara, which also stars Sanjana Sanghi is set to release directly on OTT Disney Plus Hotstar from July 24. Dil Bechara is the official remake of the 2014 Hollywood romantic drama The Fault in our Stars, based on John Green’s popular novel of the same name. Mukesh Chhabra makes his directorial debut with this movie, with Hindi adaptation by Shashank Khaitan and Suprotim Sengupta.
Sushant began his career in 2008 as a theatre artist with Nadira Babbar’s Ekjute group. Later he got his pivotal break with television show Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. But he got real popularity with Balaji Telefilms’ Pavitra Rishta where he played leading protagonist, Manav Deshmukh, for which he received numerous awards as Best TV actor.
