Actress Vaani Kapoor would love to do a biopic and says it would be an absolute honour for her to play astronaut Kalpana Chawala on screen.
“The life journey of Kalpana Chawla is phenomenal and highly inspirational for every woman on the planet especially those dreaming to be an astronaut. I think her story should be shared with everyone and would be highly honourable to portray her on-screen. It would be highly honourable” Vaani said.
Vaani feels she would love to take risks as an artist and try her hand at doing the biopic and also experiment with several other genres.
“Been fortunate to work with most talented ones in the industry. I’ve been trying to do my best from what got offered to me. Luckily every character played was different from other – small-town ordinary girl Tara in ‘Shudh Desi Romance’ to French-born in ‘Befikre’, to an independent single mother in ‘War’, to a completely different era in ‘Shamshera’, been extremely it’s been pretty good. Hopefully, i will get more chances to be part of different genres” she added.
Talking about what attracts her to sign a film, Vaani said: “It’s about connecting to a story and then to the character. I try and pick parts that can be diverse, yet meaningful, and exciting.”
Despite not being a trained dancer, Vaani has impressed with her dancing on screen. She shared how hard she had to work on herself to get to this level of dancing.
“Dancing is fun! But am not so pioneer in any dance forms. So, require several hours of continuous rehearsals — especially in ‘Befikre’. More than eight hours (even more) of continual rehearsals for getting the dance sequence in ‘Love is a dare’ right,” War actress said.
