Vidya Balan began the shoot for her upcoming movie ‘Sherni’ on World Wildlife Day on March 20′, but the nationwide lockdown stopped it. As Bollywood is resuming towards work, it looks like Vidya Bala starrer ‘Sherni’ will take some more time to go on floors. An insider quoted that ‘script of Sherni’ demanded backdrop from real locations, including the forests of Madhya Pradesh, the shoot can only resume after rainfall is taking place once the rains are over.
‘Sherni’ is the directorial venture of Amit Masurkar, featuring Vidya Balan in the pivotal role of a forest official, who is keen to find a solution for striking balance to the man-animal conflict in the forest.

An actor who loves experimenting with new genres and challenging roles, Vidya got candid about her different choice of subjects and characters, “I start to feel boredom quite frequently and require to do several things continuously like looking at new subjects and characters that’s not been brought on silver screens. I use my own interpretation which entices the actor in me and keen to perform exceptionally every time.”
